Office Accounting
Specialist
The Office Accounting Specialist
program is designed to provide a strong foundation in general
office accounting skills and computer applications. The program
will prepare the students for an entry-level to
one-year-of-experience position in several areas, as well as
increase the student’s potential for advancement. Developing
computer skills and attitudes necessary to succeed on the job is
the program objective. This certificate program emphasizes the
fundamentals to ensure that students are capable of performing
the work, and also provides training to interpret, project, and
analyze the numbers to favorably position the company for
financial success.
After completing the office accounting
program, graduates can work in a variety of positions, including
Accounting Specialist, Auditor, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and
Payroll Processor, Warehouse Clerk, Inventory Control, Assistant
Controller, Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant, Office
Administrator.
Prerequisite: BUS101 or
equivalent experience
